  1. V says:

Gandhi is dead and we are alive! Let’s live in the present and forget the idiot and trying to live up to his unrealistic expectations that were anyways only expected from Hindus while the Muslims killed people without any condemnation from Gandhi. Typical Congress pseudo secularism!

  2. Amitava says:

I am not aware if at all Gandhiji said this or not. If he said so, i consider it a very wrong statement. Religious belief is Absolutely one’s personal matter, should not be mixed up with politics. The spirit of true secularism means separation of religion from politics. People of European countries are not less religious than Indians. But there Religion is never mixed up with politics. In India Religion is not separated from politics , even religion control the politics and that is the root cause of communal problems, religious dis belief and related social turmoil. Gandhiji could not probably foresee this. Such view should be discarded without hesitation.

  3. devilish says:

Religion can never be separated from politics” which is very true in its sense and it was Jinnah who used this religious symbolism and succeeded in creating a state not on the basis of color, not on the basis of language, but this time on the basis of religion. Had he not used religion he might would not had succeeded in creating “Pakistan” although the debate remains what forced him to do so because he had joined Muslim League only with a purpose to act as bridge between League and Congress. He might have not anticipated the consequences in which more than a million died and nearly ten million people migrated, the biggest in the modern history. Religion has become an epiphenomenal factor in politics and society

  4. nature says:

because he was the culprit to foist muslim influence by allowing his family name ‘gandhi’ for ‘indira’ while gaining freedom for India by facilitating nehru to marry indira to feroz khan, originally, a parsi, and give indira, the name ‘gandhi’, while feroz’s original family name was ‘ghandy’. A legal announcement in those days’ papers carried an announcement stating that ‘indira ghandy’ will be ‘indira gandhi’.
    So, why not GANDHI JI
    said so.

  5. my personal belief is that politics know that religion is something that they can use to keep those people of masses to vote and work with them as long as they can brainwash those people or “speak to them” in order to get there vote then they will continue to use religion just the same way they use race and gender

  6. booyah™ says:

People of different religion have different views on life. The views affect the way the person acts or behaves and it affects to the society in general and hence, affecting politics.

  7. surajcap says:

Because we Indians are very religious and also Hinduism asks for good of all – Vasudaiv Kutumbakam and through it politicians can serve the people better!

  8. Jessie says:

Then I think you should go back to your Political Science 10th grade Textbook and Find the Answer! I already did my time, DO YOURS!

  9. Cool Videos says:

Sometimes it is hard to tell the difference between the two.

  10. sanjay00 says:

  11. tired_of says:
