India is the achievement of the subcontinent if you compare it with the shakiness of its neighbours Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Since the collapse of Congress one party rule India has been governed by coalitions which is healthier since it promotes inclusion. Nevertheless India still hasn’t found a way of really giving some hope to its millions of poor

Indian politics like those of its neighbor Pakistan and even China is to act like dominate countries in the region to the peril of smaller nations and proceed in the take-over of land near their borders. India and its neighbor have nuclear capability and both refuse to sign non-nuclear proliferation treaties.

Gioven the natural and human resources this country has I think the Politicians have ruined this country, whereas we have the potential to lead Asia, but we are busy in small things hence we have lost our vision of becoming a great country. We are still divided in, Marathi, Bihari, Bengali, Madrasi, Sindhi, but we have still not grown up to the level of calling ourselves collectively as INDIANS we have not learned to live together, so we have not progressed, the credit goes to our politicians who divide us into “Regional Identities” and do not allow us to become a single “National Identity”.
