Do You Contribute In Local Politics Of Your City?

Yes, I believe it is our duty. I have run for school board and city council. I lost but felt really good having run a campaign. I believe in 2 terms limitation so that all of us will take a turn as we should at our duty of political service.
Only yesterday I was asked again to run but I feel I have made an effort twice, made myself available but the people choose otherwise as was their right. Politics is not a career I care about. Now I can move on having tried.
I think everybody should consider political office as a duty in their life. “To each according to need and from each according to ability” is a saying I go by but I can’t recall the author.

Local politics is not national politics. There is a lot of difference which people need to understand before voting in lok sabha elections 2009.
I spoke with a few people in my constituency and they seem to be more worried about their roads not being clean when there is a heap of cow dung lying around central government.
