The prevailing cricket rules do not disallow for sure. Its a question of picking wickets. If the fast bowler can take more wickets by spin bowling, the captain of the team will definitely be happier.

There is no rule that stops then from doing it. In 96 world cup Monoj Prabakar bowled pace and spin bowling in the same match after being bashed by Jayasurya. Andrew Symonds has also bowled fast and spin bowling in the same match quite a few times. Damien Martin was another player who could do this…Not to forget Sachin Tendulkar, though he is not express fast…

No I don’t think so, because they are known as their Fast bowling techniques & of course a fast bowler can’t do spin bowling because they are not skillful in that type of format of bowling and vice-versa.

Remember Manoj Prabhakar, who was a fast bowler but also bowls spin.
Symonds, sometimes he bowls spin sometime medim pace.

Yes, Sohail Tanvir bowled pace and spin in a Test match against India…
Andrew Symonds bowls pace and spin…
Mark Waugh also had this talent…
Manoj Prabhakar also did the same thing…
Damien Matryn was a pace and spin bowler…

Yes they can, Ian Botham is one who did it. Mike Watkinson did it for Lancashire.
Sir Garfield Sobers was famous for it.
Fred Trueman bowled fast but could also bowl cutters.

yes zaher khan of INDIA has bowl over left arm off spin against west indies in west indies (carl copper score (234)& chandrapol score (140) )RUNS in inning of that match.

Of course they can if they have the skills.
Garfield Sobers was probably the best example but there have been others such as Andrew Symonds (medium fast and off spin) and NZ’s John F Reid to name a few.

Yes. there were/are a number of players capable of doing that.
Gary Sobers was one amongst them. Manog Prabhakar, Mark Waught were others.

a spin bowler should only change his bowling action only to fast when MBTM comes to the wicket

Of course they can, it just doesn’t happen all that often. Recent exponents included Mark Maugh who could bowl very fast but was also a handy slow bowler. Greg Chappell was another who bowled gentle medium pace and also leg spin.
Don’t forget the incomparable Sobers who could be picked for his pace bowling or his slow bowling. Russi Surti from India at the same time bowled medium pace and spin.
