safe or unsafe totally depends on u
ur personality(cloths ,timing, behaviour ,circle) will told u , u r safe or unsafe

Depends on what type of a person you are.
Usually no one bothers a person going about ones duty; as long as you do not flaunt yourself and crave attention, it is safe.
I know many US tourists, girls who have traveled along , interior India as also Delhi.
They were safe and enjoyed too.
I do not think the answers are from Delhi people.

I guess if you are roaming around in day time, it should be okay, but of course nights are not safe for girls

In day time it is fine…but not in night..Avoid secluded places and as ur not a native ..better keep company and always keep contact numbers handy . Be reachable and avoid going unknown places with strangers…commute in metro or taxis…

Among all the Metro cities, Delhi scores the lowest on safety. Delhi is known for all crimes against women and criminals backed by political big shots.
So, don’t try to show your courage in Delhi… there are many good places in India…where you will be safe even if you travel alone…but not Delhi.

you read newspaper and you will get all required details of how safe is delhi.well in one word i would say no its not at all safe.

well i agree to some of the answers but you i am from a police family and i have met and seen many criminals also so i know both sides of the card wht i would suggest that if u are planning to come to delhi , u must know how to carry urself out in public places

well it depends on the indivual basically. But do travel in a group or with someone else. its fine depending on the area
but generally no problem up to ten at night and on busy roads
better b away from side roads or old delhi areas i.e. across yamuna
