Even after sixty years of independence, I think, Indian politics is running through manipulations because of its immatured people mind set. The party, which controlled the government in the center as well as states for 80% of this period, has deliberately ignored the main issue i.e. education. They knew, more the people are educated it will be difficult to manipulate things with rhetorics. Democracy is still surviving because we the majority in this country are a tolerable lot. Things are changing, but not at that pace we expect to change.

all the right thinking, lovers of democracy in India are fed up with this bogus elections. they are waiting for emergence of a political party which is nationalist and at the same time leftist, which can solve internal and external problems. we are waiting for a party which does not pursue vote bank policies and eradicate Pakistan sponsored terrorism.. in these elections only people who are rich, communal , stooges to their political bosses, goons, hooligans, smugglers, who have past history of crime and resort to corrupted
practices would win.
the main political party , the congress is caste oriented, pro rich ,which comprises anti social elements pursue vote banking politics and prostrated before the US imperialists.
another major party the BJP is a religious fascist party, which always chant the mantra of building RAM temple before elections. its national president Bangaru lakshman was caught red handed while taking bribes . its members of parliament were expelled for taking bribes for asking questions. its hands were drenched with the blood of innocent Muslims in Gujarat and attacks were made on hapless Christians in karnataka and orissa where the bjp is in power.
the so called left parties collaborated with the congress in the past and now with criminal, corrupt , anti people parties like AIADMK, TDP. they have become power brokers.
in this scenario, the intellectuals and rationalists hate voting in favor of these
criminals, communally biased people. , free thinkers who are not
affiliated to any political party vote for those candidates who have no past history of crime, corruption and communal feelings.

A democracy with 700+ million people?
People keep thinking that China is the great emerging power, but Democracy will win out in the end. And they’re a REAL democracy, not the kind that has judges declare whole parties or candidates unconstitutional all the time like Pakistan, Thailand or Turkey.

Indian politics minus the religious fanatics, moral police and pseudo-patriots is great.
We are the world’s largest democracy and also one of the most stable ones.
But in past two decades religious fanatics have made huge, but futile attempts to hijack Indian democracy and brotherhood.
United we stand and divided we fall. Spy agencies of enemy countries like China nd Pakistan could be heavily funding divisive forces inside India to destabilize and destroy a growing regional and international power like India.
As citizens of India we need to give importance to the country and its rule of law rather than falling for false religious sentiments.
There could be people who exploit religious feelings for personal gains and hidden agenda.
What we want is a developed and peaceful India, where all our brothers should have food to eat, cloth to wear, a place they can call home, healthcare and education.
A common man hardly bothers about the religion of others in the society. How many times have we bothered about the religion of the vegetable vendor?
