Really Cricket and Weight-lifting are the only two sports in which India really seems to excel (near the top in the world). Yes you’re good at hockey but only amongst the top few.
Every country needs an outlet like that. It’s just Australia has so much in the way of sporting success (cricket, league, union, swimming, athletics, shooting, netball, hockey, soccer … the list is endless) and sports infrastructure and so many other things to do in Summer, that cricket is only “of interest”. We love it but it doesn’t rule our lives.

why are Americans so crazy about baseball? and btw…Indians had a game similar to cricket before the English came…and why not be crazy about an entertaining game?

There are many other setelites from differnt country that are useless now.The one from USA was not just useless but potentialy dangerous if it hit the earth with it’s toxic fuel.So they decided to knock it down.

That wasn’t the point of the launch. The satellite was in decent, and was going to crash down on Earth. It was big, and still had all its fuel in its tank (think KABOOM where it hit). If it comes down on a populated area, many would die. The missile launch was to blow up the fuel, and break the satellite into smaller pieces.
I don’t think anyone doubts the US ability to launch missiles, and to speculate that it was the military just flexing is silly.
